January 2018 ATHLETE OF THE MONTH – Coby Fry

Our Athletes say it best… I have been CrossFitting for nine months now The biggest change within myself that I’ve noticed since starting CrossFit is a boost in my confidence My favourite movement that we do at Plus HFP, hands down would have to be the Clean (Squat) & Split-Jerk F****** THRUSTERS, I despise this movement, definitely my least favourite movement Burpees, who likes em, Squats any day Run or Row? If I am giving the choice I would rather Run than Row One thing I can now do that I couldn’t before I started CrossFit at Plus is beating my mother, I could never get her on the rower, now she is mine? and lift heavier in The Snatch and Clean and Jerk the her ? The THOR I love my post-workout protein shake, and I love post session at Super Supps. The Chocolate THOR with extra protein & half a slice of lemon myrtle. YEAHHH ? Cheat Meal? What’s a cheat meal? I cheat every day, I’m 16 years old with a metabolism of a king, Riding that wave while I can YEAH BABY!!! Outside of the Plus Box and our Tribe I love gaming and making weaponry. No coffee for me, my mum doesn’t want me drinking coffee as I am only 16 Bacon? ALL DAY baby! And lots of it, on a roll with 2 eggs runny yolk, yes please, plenty of protein. I love Plus Health Fitness Performance. I LOVE Everything, the morning crew, the coaches, the workouts, pushing myself and achieving goals that I set for myself. Moving forward…

  1. Become a BEAST on the RIG
  2. To be stronger and faster in every movement than my biggest nemesis, my mother……
  3. To hopefully one day enjoy thrusters and get excited when I see them in a WOD. (probably never going to happen though)
  4. DO A DEADLIFT WITH ALL THE 5 KILO PLATES ON EITHER SIDE SO IT LOOKS LIKE IM LIFTING A HUGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT……?
