July 2022 Favourite Human – Rob Hurley

I have been CrossFitting now for about 6 months
The biggest change within myself that I have noticed since starting CrossFit is this is the first time I have trained in a group and I have enjoyed it immensely.  I can honestly say, I really look forward to the training sessions, even the 5:30am classes!
My movement of choice is the snatch and my least favourite is the burpee
Out of Burpees or Squats? Run, Row or bike? I would say Squats and Row
One thing that I can now do that I couldn’t before starting CrossFit is Kipping chest to bar (not many!)
My favourite cheat meal is any pasta or sourdough
Outside of the gym, I love to have a day with my wife and two boys. It is the best.  Activity is not that important, but the beach is a regular choice.
Latte’ is my preference but I mix it up.  I’m not going to run the survival experiment without coffee.
Life without bacon? I would eat more eggs.
The thing I enjoy the most about Human Fitness is the great coaching and everyone is extremely friendly.
My best party trick? I’ve seen this question in other interviews and I thought, sh+%t! I don’t have one.  I’m working on it!
My favourite place to travel to is Japan
3 things I couldn’t live without are my wife and two boys.  But if we are talking about things…. Steak, chocolate and red wine.

In 5 years I still see myself going to Human Fitness.
I’m nearly 40 and my fitness goal is to improve and maintain my function fitness for a long time to come.  I’m like most people, and want to increase muscle and shed some fat.  My goal is to train 4-5 times a week consistently.
