You’re Clean Slate

Are you a “New Week, New ME!” kind of person?

You only set goals on New Year’s Eve?

Getting your shit together usually starts somewhere around October 1st?

Sounding familiar?

It’s exciting though right? Starting something. Thinking that “this is it, I’m going to get it done this time!”

What is that feeling though? What are we really thinking is going to happen?

It’s your “clean slate”

A brand new week, month, year.

And apparently, you’re ready. “Cutting the crap. Getting serious. Training EVERY day. No more Alcohol.”

The list goes on.

 

You’ve certainly heard the saying, “Start with a clean slate” before, but have to considered how powerful a “clean slate” really is?

 

A distinguishable turning point like September, or New Years, or your birthday, or even a Monday represents a fresh start. It’s YOUR chance to choose a new path, to carve out a NEW YOU.

 

Maybe that sounds a bit hokey…

 

Is an October clean slate really going to let you suddenly transform into a new person??

 

Well, yes.
Studies have demonstrated the power of the clean slate to be TRUE over and over again. If you want to make a change in life, start at a naturally “clean slate” point and you’re more likely to succeed.

 

There’s one caveat…

 

A clean slate usually only works when you pick ONE thing to target…

 

Saying, “This month I’m going to start exercising 5 days per week, I’m going to stop eating any sweets, I’m going to go to bed by 10pm each night and I’ll wake up at 5am to meditate before work”…

 

Isn’t likely going to get you anywhere no matter how clean your slate is!

 

So, my question to you is this:

 

Beginning tomorrow, on your “new” clean slate, what’s ONE new routine you’d like to develop?

What is ONE thing you truly want to achieve?

 

It can be as small or as big as you’d like. It can focus on any area of your life.

 

Just choose one thing.

 

This clean slate might be just what you need to make it happen!
